I just had to blog about this recipe because they were so good. I know I usually post fashion stuff but you'll thank me once you try these!
Things you'll need:
*Your favorite pancake mix
*Milk
*Eggs
*A crispy apple. I used a Fuji apple because they are crisp and sweet with a slight tart flavor. Peeled and chopped into small cubes.
*2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
*1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
*Maple syrup
*Salted butter for the griddle
Directions:
Follow the instructions on your pancake mix box. For example, for 14 pancakes I mixed 2 cups of pancake mix, 1 cup of milk, 2 eggs, the chopped apple, the cinnamon and the vanilla extract in a bowl. If you want more or less pancakes double the recipe or cut it in half.
Put butter on a griddle or nonstick pan. Turn the burner on medium heat and when the butter starts to bubble pour some of you mixture onto the griddle. To make even, uniform pancakes use a ladle to pour the batter from your bowl to the griddle so you always pour the same amount.
Let the batter cook on each side for about a minute to a minute and a half then flip over with a spatula so the other side cooks.
Once you have cooked all your pancakes pour maple syrup on top.
Your pancakes should be sweet and salty and also crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Let me know what you think of this recipe.
Bon Appetit!
