DIY Maxi Skirt

Ok so when i saw that episode on Glee where Quinn was wearing that floral maxi skirt with her cropped biker jacket I decided that my next clothing purchase would be that maxi skirt. So i went to the website where they sell that exact one and when I saw the price I said NO WAY! I'm in the middle of planning a wedding and need all the cash i can get. Then and there i decided that instead of spending $100 on a skirt I'd rather pay for fabric and make it myself or else some people at my wedding would be missing a first course or someone would have to go without a chair. But anyways I searched the internet for a simple maxi skirt pattern and I found one! I used this one by Sew Much Ado: Maxi Skirt Tutorial. Check out my version of Quinn's skirt!

 Total Cost: $3.50/yard x 2 yards = $7.00 plus 2 hours of sewing.
It beats $158 and mine is custom made with whatever material I want.

So go buy some fabric or recycle some and make your own maxi skirt!!
